We give back.
Iris + Arlo fights against period poverty by giving back products to people in need. Thanks to our strategic partnerships with organizations, we will distribute products to more than 70 organizations in Quebec in our first months of operation.
Environmental impact
It takes approximately 500 years for the usual commercially available tampons to decompose.
We said no.
We've chosen sustainable materials, so that our tampons take approximately 150 days to decompose.
Because you should know what you put in your body

How To Use It
- Wash your hands and remove the protective film.
- Sit down in a comfortable position, so that your muscles are relaxed. Standing up makes it easier to insert, with knees slightly bent and apart, or with one foot on the toilet.
- Unwrap the tampon string and pull quickly and firmly. Check that both ends of the string are connected.
- Press your index finger into the hollow at the end of the tampon.
- Insert the tampon into the vagina; this is easier if the body is relaxed.
- Push the tampon into the vagina as far as it will go, at an angle. The string will hang outside your body.
- When the tampon is correctly positioned, you shouldn't feel anything. If you feel any discomfort, this means you haven't pushed the tampon in far enough. Remove the tampon and insert a new one,
- Wash your hands.
FAQs
Can I sleep with a tampon in?
This is possible if you sleep for less than 8 hours, but for a longer night, we recommend using a pad instead.
How do I choose the right tampon for me?
First, choose between tampons with or without applicators. If you are new to tampons, you might prefer to start with applicator tampons. Once you are familiar with them, it will be easier to use tampons without applicators.
Then choose the flow that suits your period: depending on where you are in your cycle, you may need super tampons at the beginning and then switch to regular ones. If you don't know your cycle well enough yet, don't hesitate to use a lower absorption tampon with a pantyliner.
How do I dispose of a tampon?
A used tampon should be wrapped in paper or reinserted into its packaging and then thrown in the trash (never in the toilet!).
