Very few people know that many cities, regions and boroughs in Quebec offer financial assistance for the purchase of reusable menstrual products. This initiative allows the reduction of waste related to disposable menstrual products and thus promotes the purchase of sustainable alternatives.
Here are the cities, municipalities, MRCs and boroughs of Quebec involved in the movement. It is possible that some of the following grants are suspended or terminated, you can contact your municipality directly for more details.
Montréal
Le Plateau-Mont-Royal
All subsidies are currently unavailable.
Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
The program has been suspended.
Rosemont Petite-Patrie
All subsidies are currently unavailable.
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
75% of the cost of purchasing durable menstrual products is granted. A maximum amount of 75$ is offered.
Rest Of The Quebec
Amqui
50% refund on the purchase of a bidet attachment, bidet toilet seat, travel bidet, washable paper towel, menstrual cup, washable sanitary napkin, washable menstrual panties and washable toilet paper, up to a maximum of $100 per residence.
Beloeil
The financial assistance covers 50% of the total amount spent for the purchase of durable menstrual products, up to a maximum amount of $75.
Brigham
The municipality offers financial support of 50% of the cost of purchasing reusable menstrual products, up to a maximum of $100 per user.
Brossard
A refund of 50% of the purchase price of reusable menstrual products up to a maximum of $75 for purchases made in a local business located in Brossard or $50 for purchases in businesses outside Brossard is granted.
Cowansville
The amount of the subsidy covers a maximum of $50 per year, per citizen for the purchase of eligible menstrual products.
Kingsey Falls
The City of Kingsey Falls offers a subsidy of 50% of the purchase cost, up to a maximum of $100 on eligible products, per person.
La-Vallée-de-L'Or
The MRCVO will provide a subsidy of 25% of the price of the products purchased,
up to a maximum subsidy of $100.
Landrienne
A 50% subsidy for a maximum of $100 is granted, renewable every two years, in a single claim.
Mont-Tremblant
In order to encourage zero waste, the city of Mont-Tremblant offers a subsidy program that provides a reimbursement of 50% of the purchase costs for a maximum of $100.
MRC of Fjord-du-Saguenay
The city offers financial assistance of $100 to $150 on different products.
MRC Marguerite d'Youville
An amount of 50% of the purchase cost, up to a maximum of $100 per person, is offered for the purchase of durable menstrual products.
Prévost
The city of Prévost offers a reimbursement of 50% of the costs associated with the purchase of durable menstrual products, taxes included, up to $100.
Québec
Durable menstrual products
The subsidy covers 60% of the purchase price (before taxes) of the products in question, up to a maximum of $100.

Rosemere
The subsidy offered is up to $40 per 3-year period for the purchase of durable menstrual products.
Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines
With funding from RECYC-Quebec and in collaboration with municipalities that responded to the call, GRAME subsidizes 50% of the purchase price of the targeted durable products, up to a maximum of $100 per person.
Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez
The city offers a grant of up to $125 per citizen covering 50% of the cost of purchasing durable menstrual products.

Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville
Saint-Georges
City residents can receive financial assistance for the purchase of durable menstrual products. The subsidy corresponds to 50% of the purchase cost up to a maximum amount of $50.
Saint-Jean Sur Richelieu
50% of the cost of purchasing durable menstrual products is covered by the financial assistance. This assistance cannot exceed $100 per user.
Saint-Jude
50% of the purchase cost up to $50 per person of eligible durable menstrual products is covered by the financial aid.
Saint-Stanislas
In order to promote the use of durable products, the Régie des matières résiduelles du Lac-Saint-Jean is enhancing its reusable menstrual products program. The CMA grants 50% of the municipal subsidy for a maximum of $50 per request.
Saint-Zotique
The municipality offers financial assistance of up to $100 per residence, per year, for all initiatives aimed at fighting climate change, including the purchase of reusable sanitary products.
Salaberry-de-Valleyfield
The subsidy corresponds to 50% of the cost of acquiring durable menstrual products for a maximum amount of $50.
Sorel-Tracy
The subsidy corresponds to 50% of the purchase cost up to a maximum of $50 for the purchase of durable menstrual products.
Terrebonne
The city of Terrebonne offers a subsidy of 50% of the purchase amount of eligible products, up to a maximum of $50.
Vaudreuil-Dorion
In order to encourage the use of zero-waste products in daily life, the city reimburses 50% of the purchase costs of such products up to a maximum of $100 per year, per residence. The reimbursement is increased to 75% if all the products were purchased from a Vaudreuil-Dorion business.
Victoriaville
The financial aid covers 75% of the total amount spent on the purchase of eligible menstrual products, up to a maximum of $200.
