What are Iris + Arlo tampons made of?
The tampon and its absorbent core are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. We do not use any plastic, and our products are BPA-free, fragrance-free, and free from elemental chlorine.
How do I use a tampon?
Yes, all our products are designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We give priority to compostable, biodegradable and recyclable materials, with a focus on circularity. Please refer to each product's specifications page to learn more about its composition.
Can I sleep with a tampon in?
This is possible if you sleep for less than 8 hours, but for a longer night, we recommend using a pad instead.
How do I choose the right tampon for me?
First, choose between tampons with or without applicators. If you are new to tampons, you might prefer to start with applicator tampons. Once you are familiar with them, it will be easier to use tampons without applicators.
Then choose the flow that suits your period: depending on where you are in your cycle, you may need super tampons at the beginning and then switch to regular ones. If you don't know your cycle well enough yet, don't hesitate to use a lower absorption tampon with a pantyliner.
Can tampons get lost inside the body?
No, that's impossible. They remain in the vagina, and the string makes them easy to remove. However, be careful not to forget that you have inserted one so that you don't leave it in your vagina for more than 8 hours. For more information on toxic shock syndrome, please refer to the instructions leaflet in the product box.
How do I dispose of a tampon?
A used tampon should be wrapped in paper or reinserted into its packaging and then thrown in the trash (never in the toilet!).
